I know some of you may think my knives and sheaths are overpriced, and I respect that. However, it takes many hours to complete a knife and sheath. For example, to make a small camp knife of approximately 3-4 inches and a sheath, with the cost of the blank, grinding, making handles, and installing them, it takes about 4 hours. To make the sheath, laying out parts, cutting all pieces, cementing, staining, sewing, and finishing takes 6 hours. Then we have the cost of the blank blade, leather, dye, and cement, and then finish sanding, plus brass snaps, pins, lanyard, and strap. The total cost, including labor at $10.00 per hour plus materials, is $150.00. This is for a small knife; making one from a farrier's rasp takes longer due to all the grinding from the raw file. Just thought you might like to know the real facts.

Each sheath has extra sewing where the skive of leather starts for strength to prevent wear and failure. No one makes a sheath like I do with many, many layers, and then saddle stitching a 1-inch plus stack of leather, being able to be a right- or left-handed sheath! I make very little profit, and I make these because I want to share my passion for making knives with you. I make these knives and sheaths to show my craftsmanship and to provide a real quality item to sell. These knives and sheaths will last for generations. As a true handcrafted product each knife and sheath combination is one of a kind. A knife that you will be proud to pass on to the next generation!
